Sydney, Classes Starting May 10TH, 2016
St. Mary’s Polish Parish, in collaboration with Cape Breton University, is offering another series of fun, welcoming Polish language workshops.
A series of six sessions will run on Tuesday evenings, starting May 10. Each session is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Polish Village Hall in Whitney Pier.
The sessions will be facilitated by Edyta Baczyk, an experienced language instructor.
This series is for “Beginners – Level II.” If you are a complete beginner, you are welcome to join the course as well. Edyta will provide you with supplementary tutorials and a CD resource that has been specially prepared.
This opportunity is geared to adult and teen learners and open to the whole community.
Some of the language learning will be tied to learning about Polish culture and customs – as well as everyday situations.
The registration fee is a total of $30 for all six sessions.
A registration form is attached, and space is limited. For more information, please send a return email, or please call Edyta Baczyk at 902-304-4757. We would be grateful if you could share this information with others who might be interested.
On a related note, we are doing a short weekly pop-up Polish tutorial on Radio CKJM (97.5 FM in Sydney and 106.1 FM in Chéticamp). The usual broadcast time is 3:30 pm on Thursdays.
